Piano Type Beats: Sad Piano and Storytelling Rap Beats
Piano is the most versatile lead a rap beat can have. A few soft notes in a minor key make a track sad, low staccato chords make it menacing, and jazzy voicings make it soulful. This page gathers 1 piano type beats across styles: sad piano over trap drums, dark piano under UK drill 808s and warm keys over swung boom bap.
3 for 2 on the Standard licence: add three beats to your cart and pay for two.
A piano rap beat leaves plenty of room for lyrics, which is why storytellers love it, from the introspective, piano-led style associated with Dave to emotional melodic rap. If one of these is the beat for your most personal song, the Exclusive licence (€299) takes it off the store so it stays yours alone. For drill with keys, try UK drill type beats.

Frequently asked questions
What is a sad piano type beat?
A beat where the piano carries the emotion: minor chords, slow melodies with space between notes, often heavy reverb and a soft, felt-like tone. Drums come in late or stay light. It suits songs about loss, regret or growth, rapped or sung.
Can I mix piano beats from different styles on one project?
Yes, the piano ties them together even across trap, drill and boom bap. Pick three beats with the Standard licence and you pay for two, which makes a three-track piano EP an easy first release.
