Pluggnb Type Beats: Sad, Dark and Dreamy Plugg
Pluggnb is plugg with a softer heart. The drums stay plugg: short, punchy 808s that bounce under the groove, crisp claps and sparse hi-hats with quick triplet rolls. On top, the R&B side brings lush seventh and ninth chords, airy synth pads, bells and plucks that sound almost weightless. The result is melodic, a little nostalgic and easy to sing over.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between plugg and pluggnb?
Plugg is the original sound: bouncy 808s, minimal drums and simple, glossy synth melodies. Pluggnb keeps those drums but borrows R&B chord progressions, with richer harmony and softer textures, so it suits singers and melodic rappers more than straight bars.
Which flows work on a pluggnb beat?
Relaxed, melodic flows work best: half-sung verses, falsetto hooks and layered harmonies. The drums leave a lot of space, so stacked ad-libs and doubled vocals can fill the mix without fighting the 808. Keep the tempo of your words loose and floaty.
